Entry requirements: GCSE: 5 including maths; Vocational & GCE A2 level: 1 award in a numerate subject; National Certificate/Diploma: in Engineering disciple; NB: Mature students without formal qualifications may be considered where appropriate industrial experience.

This course is highly regarding in the building services industry. We will show you how to design a wide range of services such as heating, air conditioning, lighting, fire fighting systems: all with an emphasis on health, safety and environment. The HND can also be a starting place for higher qualifications and is accredited by professional institutions. You have a choice of doing a Matching Section or topping up to a BSc, both leading to the title of Incorporated Engineering (IEng). Or you may decide to jump on to our BEng (Hons). All three courses are carefully designed to give you the choice.

Year 1 INTRODUCTORY UNITS: Maths, Science, Computing, Mechanical and Electrical Building Services.

Year 2 LEVEL 1 UNITS: Maths, Thermodynamics, Electrical Principles, Experimentation.

Year 2 LEVEL 2 UNITS: Mechanical and Electrical Building Services, Further Electrical Principles, Thermal Environment, Management, Design.
