Environmental and Energy Engineering @ London South Bank

 

Environmental engineering has been taught at South Bank for over fifty years in the form of Building Services. Environmental engineering now additionally includes Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration, Heat and Mass Transfer, Sustainable Energy and Acoustics. The Division itself is in the Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology.

We have well-equipped laboratories: The National College  with equipment ranging from the small-scale to larger items anechoic and reverberation chambers, and laser Doppler anemometer. Most of our academic staff have consultancy and industrial experience in the Environmental and allied industries. Our courses are certified by the Institute of Energy, and CIBSE for Incorporated and Chartered Engineering status.

Our courses are designed to allow you to join at a point suited to your qualifications and to go on to achieve your real potential. Thus, for mature students who left school early without taking A-levels, there is the Foundation Year. On the other hand, for high achievers, the accredited BEng Honours course is the best entry point.
