Entry requirements: GCSE: 5 including maths; Vocational & GCE A level: 120 points in a numerate subject; National Certificate/Diploma: in an Engineering subject with 4 merits at level 3; NB: Mature students without formal qualifications may be considered with appropriate industrial experience.

The BSc leads to the title Incorporated Engineer (IEng), without the further need to study. The first two years follow those of the HND, but in the third year you will study in more depth. You also get to chose whether to study specialist units in either mechanical or electrical disciplines. Finally, you will undertake a major project working with other professionals such as architects and structural engineers. Students who successfully complete, at a high standard, have the opportunity to transfer to the BEng(Hons) degree.

Final year Energy Managements, Environmental Management, Lighting and Acoustics, Controls, Major Project. NB: Options in Mechanical or Electrical Services.

 

OPTION to continue on to a classified BSc (Hons) degree with the addition of 3 units
