The first of the star awards from the BCU, the one star syllabus gives you an introduction to kayaking or canoeing, depending on your chosen craft! Covering ten basic skills including going forward, backward, sideways and in most cases in circles, one star is for anyone who hasn't been in a canoe, or kayak before.
